Arsene Wenger became the 2nd manager to reach 400 Premier League wins

Arsene Wenger won his 400th league game in
charge of Arsenal on Friday.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger became just the
second manager to win 400 matches in the
Premier League on Friday.
Wenger’s Gunners held off Queens Park Rangers
2-1 at the Emirates and the Frenchman joined Sir
Alex Ferguson as the only managers to reach the
landmark number of victories.
“I’m happy I could win 400 and it’s not as easy as
it looks. The next 400 will be much more
difficult!”
Wenger secured his 400th win in just his 694th
Premier League match, giving him a winning
percentage of 57.6.
He still has a way to go to catch Ferguson, who
totalled 528 wins at Manchester United in 21
seasons since the inception of the Premier League
in 1992.
The match also marked the Wenger’s 600th win
in total as Arsenal manager.
Wenger, 65, is the longest tenured manager in
the Premier League, having led the Gunners since
1996.
Matthieu Flamini hailed Wenger’s long-term
Arsenal record after the Boxing Day victory.
“We know our manager is a legend, so he proved
it once again today,” said Flamini.
