Maria Fowler has been injured after allegedly
suffering an attack during a night out in Derby in
the early hours of Sunday morning.
The former TOWIE beauty was punched in the
face and left with a bloody nose and cuts all over
her body during the incident, which is now being
investigated by police.
The redhead looks distraught in photos taken in
the aftermath of the event, which show her with
blood running down her chin and her legs.
But the 28-year-old star posted about her ordeal
on Twitter, writing: ‘I’ve felt better.’
Her fans were quick to come to her defence,
telling her they hoped recovered soon and
slamming those responsible for her attack.
Former Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola McLean
also wished her friend well, writing: ‘Big kisses
and love to Maria Fowler. Anything I can do
please let me know. There are [some] horrible
people in this world.’
Maria has also thanked her loved ones and
followers for their support, posting: ‘Thank you
for all the messages. I have the best people
around me’.
She also shared an inspirational quote from the
Dalai Lama which read: ‘Don’t let the behavior of
others destroy your inner peace.’
A Derby police spokesperson told the Daily Star :
‘We are investigating an assault on a 28-year-old
woman.
‘The incident occured at 2.30am on Sunday in
Becketwell Lane, Derby.’
This isn’t the first time poor Maria, who left
TOWIE in January 2012, has been the victim of
an attack since she was reportedly glassed in the
face last February.
The incident left her shaken and resulted in her
deciding to give up alcohol for good.
She wrote on Twitter at the time: ‘It seems the
perfect time to hang up my Louboutins and quit
alcohol.
‘In the past two weeks I have been glassed by a
man and also verbally abused when out and
never received hostility like that before.’
